BABBLER 10/23 - Horsfield's Babbler

Horsfield's Babbler

Like the Chestnut-winged Babbler; the Horsfield's Babbler are beautiful crooner and sociable birds. It respond to your calls unabashedly and go to the source of call. I will put up some video clips later.

It says Horsfield's looks like the Abbott's in books . The differences is the darker crown color and the paler eye lores. Bodywise its more off white greyish with less rufous tinge. Its smaller at 15.5cm/ 6 inches. Anyway both are lowland babblers below 700m but Abbott's strives in all kind of terrains whilst Horsfield is found mainly near wet and water stream areas.
