FLYCATCHER 9/25 - Hill blue Flycatcher

 Hill blue Flycatcher

First time seeing the female. On its own it can be quite tedious to id female flycatcher or even sunbirds. As the mating season on and the other half also show up in Old Pumphouse. The first 3 pics is the she.

It is always good to go birding with an experienced birder like Jason. He pointed to the call. Must get a recorder........ Size of about 6 inches Winter visitor from Myammar/Thailand. Hello there is no winter there.............They are not here to breed though. I believe they are on the way back as summer is approaching June.

Anyway The male is blue with orange breasted whilst the female has brown coat instead What a contrasting pair. Got crap photo of the male here.........
