White-bellied Woodpecler

about 40cm or 16 inches. Photo from Kemensah. Sighting at FRIM Kepong, Panti
Johore and Singapore were also recorded. Now is to get the largest and most
rare - the greyish Greater Slaty Woodpecker (sighted in Kuala Gandah Pahang).
They were a noisy pair. They were calling a lot kwek ekekek .... Stayed in the high canopy and shy from the lower trunks. The male have a red streak moustache whilst the female is plain.
