WOODPECKER 4/24 - Sunda Pygmy Woodpecker

Sunda Pygmy Woodpecker

A very small Woodie of less than 6 inches or 14cm. Commonly found in open mangrove forest and coastal shrubs. Have similarities to its relative Grey-capped Pygmy of the highlands. Woodies tends to surprise you when they just pop out infront of you and show off themselves. Curious nature of woodpecker in general.

It has broader darker ear-covert band and defined sub moustache as well as broader but diffused streaks to body
