Black-naped Monarch
Yes my century bird and my first nest photo. Thanks Lim and Jason. It is such a small flycatcher of just 15cm. Truly it look small in the tiny nest the size of a chinese teacup. Seldom you can get to photog them when not breeding and nesting as they dart around like the tailorbird..........hyper. Got the opportunity to snap them at Bkt Rengit with Jason and Lim.. Usually the nest is inconspicious and inaccesible but this one was just along the track but well camouflaged with sponge and green mosses. In the shade you cannot notice them as they sit quietly as the parents takes turn to keep the nest warm and cosy.
The female less intense blue with greyish brown back, wing and tail No black patch on head with square end tail but female with whiskers......
